Punit Malhotra, whose last movie was Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in 2013, got a chance to direct Shah Rukh Khan for Reliance Jio ad.

His partnership goes back to 2001 when Malhotra was assisting Karan Johar on the sets of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The duo also worked together in Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) and Amol Palekar’s Paheli (2005)
